In Ukraine and Poland, Easter egg decorating is an important folk art form. Traditionally made with wax resist and intricate geometric or floral designs on real eggshells, pysanky have been a fixture in Eastern European homes for centuries.

Our pysanky class pays homage to the tradition, with a fiber arts twist! In one morning session, you'll learn about the history of the art form and get an introduction to few essential embroidery stitches. We'll provide a felted "duck egg" (aka larger than a chicken egg) that you can stitch with motifs and colors that you choose.

Skill level: beginner to experienced

Supplies we'll provide: materials, tools, and kind, patient instruction
