Keep your shit together with these stylish, sturdy wallets. Made from scraps sourced from a leather co-op up in Lewiston who redistributes chemically treated leather that has been discarded by Maine factories and businesses (as it is illegal to dump in landfills).
A word from the maker:
"I primarily work with scrap pieces that have scarring and branding and natural edges where the hide was cut off the animal. It's my way of growing my consciousness about where the leather comes from and recognizing that all parts of the animal are sacred.
Every piece I make is as unique as the skins. They all behave differently and want to become something other than what I may have originally envisioned. The ethics behind my work are as important to me as the work itself."
