Make the Sorrento Bucket Hat by Elbe Textiles! This is a unisex design featuring a downwards sloping brim with optional top stitching detail. The hat is fully lined and can be reversible.
This is a simple pattern to sew by machine. Skills you'll learn in this workshop include constructing a lining, using seam allowance to achieve appropriate sizing, and top stitching.

Supplies to bring with you:
Your working sewing machine
One half yard of prewashed denim, canvas, or other sturdy cotton fabric + one half yard of prewashed quilting cotton for the lining. Our friends at Z Fabric have tons of good options, or you can use this project as a stash buster!

Interfacing for a sturdier brim
Your favorite rotary cutter or fabric scissors

MaryBeth is a lifelong crafter who specializes in garment-sewing and handstitching, and she also dabbles in many fiber arts. She has a Masters of Teaching and Learning from USM and thinks that building connections with other humans, especially crafty humans, is one of the best parts of being a teacher.
