Vintage towel shirts: Gladys

Peaks Island artist/thrift queen Meredith Winn turns vintage towels into colorful, comfortable clothing! Each piece had a long life as a towel, and has been diverted from landfills to be upcycled into a garment. Throw it on over a swimsuit or elevate the Outfit of the Day with a retro vibe.

Gladys is made from a fantastic vintage towel with a yellow, orange, and black flower pattern. The shirt is sewn into a poncho style, made to be oversized for comfort with cap sleeves and wider scoop neck. Box style top leaves room for open sizing that can be worn fitted or oversized for a variety of body types. Please see measurements for specifics as vintage towels do not have stretch.

Vintage Condition: Good.

Care: All vintage towel tops are handmade. Wash in cold water and air dry for longevity or tumble dry for softness. Each top is unique and one of a kind.
