Well friends, it's been a hell of a ride. The past five years have been amazing, empowering, occasionally harrowing, and deeply instructive.

A wise friend recently said, "It's just as badass to know when to end things as is it to start things" and that is the energy I'm bringing to the function this summer, which will be Handiwork's last. 

We're not renewing our lease on Stevens Ave, but I'm working on ways that Handiwork's creativity in community ethos can continue in other locations. (More details to come.)

Our plan is to wind down retail operations by Labor Day (-ish) so you still have a few weeks to get in here and soak up the vibes, stock up on embroidery thread, and tell my staff how much you appreciate them.

Thank you for every purchase, every enthusiastic referral, every glowing review, and every word of encouragement you've given Handiwork over the years. They might have seemed like small gestures to you, but your actions have had a huge impact on us both as a business and as a tiny of crew of real live humans trying to build something greater than the sum of its parts.

And yes, the markdowns have begun.
