class registration policy
Class sizes are limited and advance registration is always encouraged! You may register online or in person at the shop. We can not guarantee walk-in availability for classes.
Unless otherwise specified, Handiwork classes are intended for people who are over 16.
Sometimes, we make plans and life laughs. If you’re unable to attend the class you’ve registered for, please get in touch with us at least 24 hours before the class begins so we can arrange a store/studio credit for you. Out of consideration for our instructors and the preparations they make, cancellations of less than 24 hours are not eligible for credit.
Sometimes, we make plans and Mother Nature laughs. This is Maine, after all. If inclement weather makes travel inadvisable, we reserve the right to postpone scheduled classes and events. All reasonable effort will be made to notify participants and to reschedule the event. If you’re unable to attend the rescheduled date(s), we'll give you a store/studio credit.
In order to compensate our teachers fairly, we require a minimum number of students for each class. If a class hasn’t reached its minimum enrollment within 48 hours of the scheduled start, we’ll notify those who have already registered. If your class is cancelled for low enrollment, we will refund your money or give you a store credit which can be applied to future classes.
We work to provide a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for all. We expect everyone using our space to be respectful. Anyone using speech or actions that make others feel unwelcome or unsafe will be asked to leave.
Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before your class begins so that you have time to settle in and get your bearings.
Handiwork reserves the right to use photos and videos taken during classes, workshops, and other store events in Handiwork’s publicity materials and social media. Registration in classes gives Handiwork permission to use those images without further consent or compensation.
